Geist Plastics has increased production capacity this year by purchasing a new 2.5” 24/1 America Kuhne extruder and Conair downstream equipment. Utilizing the latest technology and processing techniques continues to remain a competitive strategy for Geist Plastics.
“We are pleased with the new extrusion equipment and feel it will keep us a step ahead of our competitors and will ultimately lead to better service for our customers and higher precision in the molding of their custom plastic profiles,” stated Dominic Pynes, division president.
In addition to the new extruder, Geist Plastics added more extrusion screw designs allowing for expansion of the types of materials processed, in-line laser marking, and precision quality measurement equipment allowing for even tighter tolerances.
As a division of PCE, Inc., Geist Plastics benefits from the corporate commitment to capital investments in precision extrusion equipment that help maintain high product quality, while improving efficiencies and reducing energy consumption.
