At Lincoln Plastics, formerly Geist Plastics, we also like to take on smaller, more difficult custom extrusion jobs that most companies would not do. Here’s one of our favorite examples. 

We were asked by a new client to produce material to create a Duck Call. The client planned to sell the product on their website and to large retailers.  We would run the tube; they would get it milled to the shape of a duck call, polished, and prepared for sale.

Our client asked to use a polycarbonate in three colors. We sent the color chips they gave us to our suppliers to order the right material.  After the tooling was made, we produced a sample run. But after milling and polishing the product, our client realized the material wasn’t exactly what they were looking for.

The polycarbonate material, after milling it down, takes a chemical process to polish the surface back to its “shiny state” and they didn’t want to go through this process. So we started the process over using an acrylic and three new colors.  We ended up with the result we wanted and are willing to go the extra mile for our customers.  We pride ourselves on giving each and every customer the customer service they deserve and the service for which we are known.
